Flow Assurance Training
Practical knowledge to solve production and design challenges
Carbon Capture and Storage Training
Flow Ahead & Alterra Energy are pleased to announce a Carbon Capture and Storage Training in London this March.
What you will learn:
– Fundamentals of CCS: what, why, and how
– Thermodynamic behaviour of CO₂ streams and impurities and how those affect storage capacity
– Design considerations for CCS transportation systems (pipelines and wells)
Transient operations: turndown, ramp-up, shutdown, restart, depressurization, and packing
– Flow assurance throughout the project design cycle
– Subsurface workflow from Site screening to Site Development Plan with a view of integration across geology, petrophysics, geophysics, Reservoir Engineering and wells
– Subsurface – well integrated modelling
– Robust injection planning and integration into a Storage Development Plan
Location: London Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo (with a 15 person capacity)
Date: 2nd and 3rd of March 2026
Secure your place. Cost per participant is £1995 excl VAT.

Instructors:
Rowan Haddad – Reservoir Engineering Consultant and SME CCS
Gladys Sucre – Consultant Flow Assurance Engineer and SME CCS
Flow Assurance
Complete overview of the flow assurance discipline with detailed information about the topics. Targeted to engineers that have to perform flow assurance tasks during their day to day work.
The topics covered include PVT, flow, hydrates, asphaltenes, wax and scale, operations and OLGA modules can be added on request

Instructor
Gladys brings more than 15 years of hands-on flow assurance experience across operators, consultancies, and research. Her career path includes roles as a flow assurance engineer with Advantica (UK), five years specializing in wax and asphaltenes at Shell (Netherlands), consultancy work with Xodus Group (Netherlands), and senior flow assurance engineering at Eni–Tecnomare (Italy). Today, she leads Flow Ahead.
This breadth of experience—spanning simulation studies, laboratory programs, and field operations—gives her a complete perspective on how design decisions impact production. She is dedicated to helping clients connect the technical, operational, and risk management aspects of flow assurance to make informed, practical decisions.
